  • unfotunately the community-website also logs me off automatically as soon as I try to open the discussion: http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/2193/framerate-going-down-when-connected-to-beamer

Hope its ok, if I write to you personally. Thanks for your explanation. But thats what I thought actually I am doing, I am letting the beamer scale the video from 720x576 to 1024x768. So it shouldnt influence my CPU. Or is this done already before the signal goes to the beamer? And why does the scaling to my second monitor cuase no problem? Its also a totally different resolution (1366x786). I will try the hole thing with 1024x768 resolution for a test.

I think getting the beamer to scale the video requires, having your OS see the beamer at a size smaller than its Native resolution. (set in your monitor/screen resolution panel)
This way the smaller signal is sent, and the beamer must upscale it.
In the case of your beamer, and size smaller than 1024x768 and still 4:3 ratio will work in theory.

In Isadora, the stage will be rendered at the 'preview stage size' (using both the CPU and GPU actors in your patch), and then for display to the monitor or beamer it will be scaled by OS (I think), to match the device. This should happen on the GPU, which is rather fast.

So there are many steps to output.. and finding the most efficient for your system can take a little trial and error.

Just FYI I was also having the same problem on Google Chrome - I had to delete all my browsing history and then when I clicked on discussions it worked fine.
